About Me

A managing partner with Gentle Turner Sexton & Harbison in Birmingham, Alabama, Edgar Gentle possesses more than 30 years of experience as an attorney. In addition to his JD from the University of Alabama School of Law, he holds a master of arts in jurisprudence from the University of Oxford and twice received designation as a Rhodes Scholar. A member of the Academy of Court Appointed Masters, Edgar Gentle also belongs to the bar associations for Alabama and Birmingham.

As a partner with Gentle Turner Sexton & Harbison, he primarily serves in a neutral capacity, working for courts as a special master and settlement administrator. His achievements with the firm include helping to create and administer over $2.5 billion in settlements. In his spare time, Gentle enjoys reading, writing, and fishing, and he cherishes time spent with his three sons.
